Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2026

Agreement

By engaging South Star for services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Services

We provide web and mobile application development services. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and cost will be outlined in a separate project proposal or contract for each engagement.

Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required before work begins
  • 25% is due at the project midpoint
  • Final 25% is due upon project completion
  • Late payments may result in project delays or suspension

Specific payment terms may be adjusted in individual project agreements.

Project Changes

Changes to project scope after work has begun may affect timeline and cost. We will communicate any changes and obtain your approval before proceeding.

Intellectual Property

  • Upon full payment, you own all rights to the custom work we create for you
  • We may use third-party libraries or frameworks that have their own licenses
  • We reserve the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed

Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide necessary content, feedback, and approvals in a timely manner
  • Ensure you have rights to any content you provide
  • Pay invoices according to agreed terms

Delays in providing required materials may affect project timeline.

Warranties and Limitations

We will deliver work with reasonable skill and care. However:

  • We do not guarantee specific business results from our work
  • We are not liable for issues caused by third-party services, hosting providers, or factors outside our control
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service

Support

Each project includes 30 days of post-launch support for bug fixes. Support beyond this period can be arranged separately.

Termination

Either party may end the engagement with written notice. If you terminate:

  • Payment is due for all work completed up to that point
  • Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun

We reserve the right to terminate if payments are not received or if the working relationship becomes untenable.

Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve any disputes through good-faith communication. If that fails, disputes will be handled according to the laws of our operating jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
